So happy with my AP scores...

4th of July

Today, went to see the fireworks at Manassas Downtown. It was really pretty and there were lots of people on the field watching the thingie. Really cool, except that there were this bunch of young people next me, who were making out when the fireworks were being released. Really annoying. Comeon, go get a room.

Also, let me tell you this. Today, there is this white smallish puppy that got into my neighn=bor's yard and was barking its head off. So my neighbor came out with her dog (which by the way has the notorious name of PANCAKES) and tried to chase it away. The white dog went away for a while but kept coming back, and so my neighbor got really annoyed and just shut the door on that poor little thing. Ans so after a while, she and her family went out fishing. The white dog then began to wander around until it came upon this family in the culdesac who was having a BBQ. That family thought that the dog belonged to my neighbor and so brought it to my neighbor's house. Seeing that nobody was at home, she tied the dog to the door and left it there. AND THEN IT BARKED FOR ONE FRICKING HOUR (Arrg). Finally, we went out for dinner and by the time we got back, it was gone. Either it chewed its way free, or someone took pity on it and ate ot for dinner (Yum).

Okay, that basically sums up my day. Happy birthday America! You are, umm, 200+?

Summer Woes

Summer here is really really warm. I bet that it is warmer in Singapore, but then after the winter here, I find that my pores forgot how it felt like to sweat like a pig.

Mom told me to go water the plants today. It is not the first time that I am doing this, but it is definitely the worst time to do it. Normally, I would go out at dusk around 7 when the sun is just setting, when the temperature is warm, but still nice, not suffocating. But today, I had to go out at 2 in the afternoon, with the sun directly above my head. And that’s not the whole story. I had just finished playing badminton with my brother for like an hour, and so naturally in the 90 degrees heat outside, I was sweating profusely. Then, I had to struggle with the sprinkler cause water kept leaking through one of the openings. I tried to stick the sprinkler thing back in, but then forgot to turn off the water while doing so. So, in the end, I am soak to the bone. Woe.

Have to think of some topic to write for the college essay. I was of doing the “Topic of your Choice” in the Common Application, but then what if there is NO TOPIC OF MY CHOICE? Just feel like my life is just one flat straight road, going on endlessly, without any turns or bumps along the way.

If you know what I mean.

Been totally unproductive for the past week, don't even know how I am going to survive for two more months

That's it, I am going to go job hunting this weekend and get some cash this summer. It is at least better than loitering around the house and arguing with my brother.

Want to change my template for something that makes the words somehow easiler to read. Any suggestions on good websites that I can go to?

It is just so nice of the American education people to grant their kids who worked so hard during the year a two and a half month break during the summer. Pity on the Singapore kids *Laughs uncontrollably*

Another day sick at home

Haven’t been updating for a long time. Well, nothing much to say. Life it very boring here. Got really sick over the weekend. Sore throat+runny nose+cough. Not a very pleasant combination.

Went to take my ACT last Saturday. The English and math sections are OK, but then I ran out of time on the reading part cause I spent too much time raising my hand to ask for some tissue and the science reasoning part was well, the questions were very easy, but it took a very long time to read the passage and interpret the data.

Summer is almost here! But then this summer have to be spent looking at colleges, finding scholarships and filling in applications. Not a very exciting thought. Can’t wait to get into college, just know that it will be so much better than high school.

Here is a list of what I want right now:
1. Coffee and cough syrup. My throat is irritating me.
2. To go back to Singapore before the age of 25 and hold a class reunion. Maybe even hug Ms Rai’s baby, if she have one at that time.
3. Sleep Zzz.
4. Chocolate ice cream and Oreo
5. Watch Romeo and Juliet
6. Get a picture to hang in my room.
7. A couple of hooded sweatshirts.
8. My block nose to go away
9. A new wallet
10. A clear complexion

Whatever, none of those is going to come true today, except for maybe the sleeping part.

I need to find some people here I can talk to. Feel that all my feelings are cooped up in my little heart. Actually come to think of it, it is only here that I dun have people that I see everyday. In primary school, I have Jasmine, Geraldine and Minsi, then in Monroe Middle, I have Kelsey and Mikaela; in Rogers, I have Zhouy and Tchenakina; in SJC, I have Pris and Sarah. Dun worry, I will find someone weird in college who is just like me.

Gtg, promise this time I will update more frequently.
